The TWP Parenting Program is led by a qualified and experienced Family Therapy Practitioner and Family Support Worker, whose expertise is backed by both professional training and her own personal experience as a parent.
Having experienced raising her own blended family, Carol has a deep, firsthand understanding of the complexities parents face and the importance of building meaningful connections.
Our mission is to create family connections with a solution focused program that prioritises child safety.
What sets TWP apart from other programs is our deep commitment to respond to your personal journey by utilising our professional training in Family Therapy Systems Practices, Tuning into Teens™, Anglicare’s Philosophy of Parenting, in conjunction with personal experience as a parent and a successful history of 10 years working with complex family issues. This melting pot of training and experiences reflects the genuine passion to respond to participant’s needs and expectations when engaging in our TWP Program. As a result you are assured of positive change for all.
With TWP, your personal story matters and you’re not alone. During your participation, you will receive expert guidance every step of the way. Our strength-based approach addresses sensitive issues such as anger management, behaviour challenges, along with an emotional awareness of your responses, by offering you fresh perspectives with practical tools to support your role as a parent.
TWP was founded by Carol, who’s basically seen it all when it comes to parenting – both professionally and personally. After years of working with families in crisis, she realised that cookie-cutter advice just wasn’t cutting it. Parents and caregivers needed something more personal, more compassionate, and, let’s be honest, something that actually works in real life (because teenagers don’t come with an instruction manual).
Carol’s own life experiences—combined with a deep fascination with psychology (and probably a lot of coffee)—led her to create a program that blends real-world wisdom with solid academic know-how. The result? An approach that feels more like having a wise, supportive friend in your corner rather than sitting through another dull parenting seminar.
She knows every family is unique, which is why her work is all about meeting parents where they are at – with warmth, respect, and zero judgment. Her mission? To make child safety and mental health a top priority while creating a space where families can truly thrive (and maybe even enjoy the ride).
We center every decision, action, and service on the best interests of children, ensuring their growth, happiness, and long-term well-being remain the top priority. By tailoring our approaches to meet the developmental, emotional, and social needs of children, we create environments that help them thrive.
Creating a safe space, physically, emotionally, and mentally, where everyone feels secure and protected. Our program is designed to encourage trust, reduce risks, and uphold the highest standards of care and vigilance.
Helping individuals recognise their strengths, build self-confidence, and take ownership of their journey. We provide tools, encouragement, and support to enable meaningful progress and self-determination in every aspect of their lives.
